Arun Subramony’s leadership style as a visionary gardener, and his ability to create and enrich long term agenda-less relationships in life and business have provided him the opportunity to help countless companies and their leaders reach their goals. Arun is a senior executive with CEO, CFO, COO, Board Governance, Impact Investing, and Corporate Finance experience in Information Technology, Energy, Retail, HealthCare, Government and Financial Services industries across 4 continents. Arun has served in start-ups as well as F500 in various stages of growth for over 30 years. His learning and contributions in C- Suite roles for 20 years enabled him to successfully provide solutions for managing organizations through hyper growth and rapid turn-around situations, as well as taking companies public and private. His vast experience in deal making is called on repeatedly to solve complex challenges and to address growth and scale scenarios. His expertise includes incubating sunrise industry start-ups, financing, acquiring and developing rapidly growing businesses. Arun was invited by the White House Economic Council to be part of the AAPI forum, to participate and contribute to policy planning initiatives in Renewable Energy, Immigration, and Information Technology.

Arun Subramony serves as the Chairman and CEO of TimeX Capital LLC (DBA TimeX Bank), a NextGen Investment Bank that differentiates itself in a crowded marketplace focused on helping Founders and inventors, leveraging Digitization, Sustainability and IP Assets. Arun pioneered the concept of aggregating, valuing and monetizing IP assets to raise equity and debt and has secured engagement mandates for M & A and Cap Raise of over USD 1 Billion in the first 4 months of operations.

Prior to TimeX, Arun Subramony served as the Chief Financial Officer for SprintRay Inc. His specialties as CFO include organic and inorganic market expansion, financial strategies for IPO readiness and multiplying Enterprise Value, triple-digit capital raise (debt and equity), M&A, managing and optimizing capital structure, managing tax, treasury and controllership functions, improving financial and management reporting, implementing Sarbanes-Oxley compliant corporate governance and internal controls, bottoms-up FP&A and budgets. AS CFO, Arun managed IT strategy and Security functions, in additions to Risk and Legal functions. Prior to joining SprintRay, he was the Founder Chairman and CEO of Empereal Group of companies, an MNC engaged in producing power and desalinated water from renewable energy sources. He handled additional responsibilities of CFO function at Empereal for the first 5 years, prior to hiring a Global CFO to pursue a public listing for Empereal Group. He also co---founded August Consulting Inc., a cross border investment advisory firm specializing in M&A, besides advisory offerings in deal structuring, capital raise, emerging market securities, wealth management and private investor products.

Arun was part of “The Climate Project” headed by Nobel Laureate Al Gore and has been a Cleantech evangelist for over 15 years. He is recognized as a Social Pioneer and Change Leader in the Healthcare and Wellness Industry, Knowledge Economy and Renewable Energy industries.

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, he served as Vice President – Strategic Ventures & Alliances of UST, where he led Mergers and Acquisition function, and UST’s partnership with PwC and SAP. He also served as Chief Operating Officer at GenShare Ltd., (a JV between UST and General Electric), that offered Digital Transformation solutions to Fortune 500 clients. Mr. Subramony’s prior roles at UST included leading UST’s Western Business Unit, Global Marketing function, Global Delivery function, and in successfully launching UST’s Asia Pacific expansion. He served as a member of the business planning and analysis function, corporate communications and led the company’s numerous green initiatives.

Prior to UST, he served as COO at IMC International, a management consulting firm serving the C---Suite for F500, in areas of Marketing and Corporate Governance. Since 1990, his professional experience includes management roles at reputed firms like Sutherland Global Services, Microsoft Corporation and Wipro Corporation in the areas of Marketing, Sales, Program Management and Global Operations.

An MBA graduate of Kellogg Business School at Northwestern University, Mr. Subramony holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kerala University and an MBA from Madras University. As a Ph.D. scholar at IIT Madras, his research interests focused on Natural Resource Economics and Social Business Models. He completed his academic requirements at IIT Madras but dropped out of the program prior to completing his thesis as the family decided to move back to US after a 4 year stint in India.

In addition to serving Empereal and August as Chairman of the Board, Mr. Subramony served on the Boards of Janashree, a reputed Micro---Finance Bank, and as a Strategic Advisor for NeuroPower Group in Australia. As an EDU evangelist, he served on the advisory boards of business schools affiliated to University System of Georgia. He previously accepted Adjunct faculty positions for Tier 2 Business Schools and served as an Affiliated Doctoral Faculty member for their Ph.D. Program for Environment Management. He was invited by President Bill Clinton to contribute to The Clinton Initiative and by EXIM Bank for building innovative Microfinance strategies for emerging countries.

Arun has been a recipient of several Industry awards including but not limited to CXO of the Year by Fortune Magazine, Business ICON of the Year by CEO Magazine, Top 10 Technology Innovators by MIT, and for his non-profit initiatives in Healthcare, Education, Micro Finance and Sustainable Energy. Recently, Arun was among 37 awardees who received recognition from Union Minister of Government of India on the occasion of India’s 75th Independence day celebrations.
