Mr. John Murphy Jr. is a recently retired Federal Agent and Marine Corps Pilot, and currently the CEO of Apollo Biomedical Solutions, LLC. Mr. Murphy has a vast and dynamic background with respect to global operations and key leadership positions over the last 31 years.

Mr. Murphy was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps in 1988, graduated The Basic School, Quantico in 1989, and graduated Naval Flight School at Naval Air Station Whiting Field in 1991.

His early aviation tours included CH-53E Helicopter Superstallion Pilot with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 462 and Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 163 at Tustin California, and global operational experience with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable). In 1993 and 1994, John Murphy served in combat zones over Mogadishu, Somalia as well as performed evacuation support of the U.S. Embassy Rwanda, Africa. After 20 years of service, he retired from the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel with Heavy Marine Helicopter Squadron 769 and the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing Inspector General.

In 1996, he joined the former U.S. Customs Service as a Special Agent and reverted to Customs Pilot. Mr. Murphy held various posts while stationed in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico; San Diego, California; Jacksonville, Florida; Key West, Florida and Washington, DC. Additionally, Mr. Murphy held various positions which include Vice Director of the Joint Inter-agency Task Force South, Director of Aviation Operations, as well as Deputy Executive Director of Southwest Operations. After retirement in 2017, Mr. Murphy completed two tours in Southeast Asia as a Contract Surveillance Pilot with over 100 combat missions.

John Murphy graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelor degree in Legal Studies in 1988. In 2007, he completed the Senior Executive Fellows Program at Harvard Kennedy School of Executive Education. Mr. Murphy has been formally trained by the U.S. Marine Corps in Command and Control at the Command and Staff school located in Quantico, Virginia. Mr. Murphy has been recognized by numerous awards, including the U.S. Customs Meritorious Service Award for Valor, Federal Law Enforcement Association Medal for Bravery, Joint Meritorious Civilian Service Award, Navy Achievement Medal, Marine Corps and Navy Expeditionary Medals, Customs and Border Protection Unit Citations, and Sikorsky Rescue Award.
